🇺🇸 Honoring Our Veterans 🇺🇸

This Veterans Day, Iroquois will be closed on Tuesday, November 11th, as we take time to honor and reflect on the courage, service, and sacrifices of our nation’s veterans.

We’re deeply grateful to the veterans in our community—and to their families—for all they have given. Your strength and resilience inspire our mission to support mental health and well-being every day. 💙

If you or someone you know needs immediate mental health support, please contact the 988 Su***de and Crisis Lifeline (press 1 for the Veterans Crisis Line), or call our Local Crisis Line
620-723-2656. Help is always available.

We’ll reopen on Wednesday, November 12th. Thank you for joining us in honoring those who have served. 🇺🇸❤️

💚World Mental Health Day—October 10th💚

Today is a day to raise awareness, challenge stigma, and advocate for stronger policies and services to support mental health for all. It reminds us all that mental health is just as vital as physical health.

At the Iroquois Center, we work closely with our rural primary care providers, clinics, and hospitals, to ensure you receive the best care! Please don’t wait to reach out. Help is available and affordable.

We all have hard days—but if you’re noticing too many consecutive days of poor mental health, it may be time to reach out for support. Depression screenings and conversations with a health care provider can help identify what you’re going through and connect you with the care you need. You don’t have to face it alone—help and hope are available.

🎉 Today We Celebrate One Year of Impact. One Year of Hope. 💙

One year ago, our 24/7 Mobile Crisis Team hit the ground running with one mission: to provide compassionate, immediate, and expert support to those experiencing a mental health crisis — anytime, anywhere.

Since that day, we've answered hundreds of calls, navigated strained systems, linked arms with our community partners, and most importantly, stood beside individuals and families during some of their most difficult moments.

This work isn’t easy — but it’s vital. Because mental health doesn’t just keep office hours. And no one should face a crisis alone.

To our dedicated team: thank you for showing up day and night with empathy, courage, and professionalism. You are saving lives and changing the way our rural communities respond to mental health emergencies. Thank you for volunteering to build this team from the ground up, with me. Your tireless efforts to serve others will never go unnoticed. —Megan

We are excited to welcome an additional Therapist to our Iroquois team! Aaron is available for both telehealth and face to face sessions, with availability during the day, evening, and some weekend hours! Call 620-723-2272 to request an appointment. Here's a bit more about Aaron:

"My name is Aaron Pendergrass. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and mental health therapist. It is of the utmost importance to me that the work I do with a person is as beneficial, helpful, and worthwhile as we can get it to be, as soon as we can get it to be. My work emphasizes clarity on the most important way that things need to be different, so that our combined efforts focus as much as possible on a person moving from where they are to where they want to be, as rapidly as possible.

I am trained in understanding and treating the effects of traumatic experiences, which sometimes culminate in PTSD. My efforts are productive for the treatment and resolution of depression symptoms, anxiety symptoms, and for addressing challenges related to bipolar disorder, addictions, ADHD, family or relationship friction, productivity efforts, low self-esteem, and many other challenges or concerns.

My efforts are most effective for older teenagers and for adults through about 60 years of age. I am fully supportive of and pleased to work with humans of any sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity, location or nationality of origin, and skin color or tone."
