The 4th annual Children's Grief Awareness Day Events happened last week. This year we had 2 seperate nights, one for kiddos that like to return from year to year and one for new kiddos. This program brings kiddos and families together to honor their loved ones, work on a grief art project, talk about grief and allow for all their feelings, and learn tools that can help us along our grief journey.

We are beyond thankful for our partnerships and friendships with so many amazing organizations and helpers that make these events possible!
Thank you Hartman-Graziano Funeral Home LLC, the Jamie Cordial Hall Foundation, Excela Hospice at Independence Health, the Latrobe Arts Center, the Top Dog Therapy Team, the bear creators from St. John's UCC in Ligonier, and our amazing art therapist friends who volunteer with us every year!!

It is a honor to partner with Hartman-Graziano Funeral Home, Jamie Cordial Hall Foundation, and Independence Health again this year to bring our annual grief workshop for Children's Grief Awareness Day this month!

Several local organizations are partnering to help children handle the grief of losing loved ones.

Children's Grief Awareness Day is coming up in November. Join us for our annual events held at Latrobe Arts Center in conjunction with our partners the Jamie Cordial Hall Foundation, Hartman Graziano Funeral Home, and Excela Health Home Care and Hospice. There will be art making, reading of a grief book together, visiting the Top Dog therapy dogs, and enjoying snacks. It is a night where grief is shared, honored, and held in a sacred way.

We are still accepting donations for our food drive for those locally in need. 100 percent of your donation goes directly to purchasing food for the food drive. If you or someone you know needs assistance with food please contact us. We are taking names now for distribution starting the first week of November. No one should go hungry.
