Westmoreland County Blind Association The WCBA provides services and programs for individuals with visual, intellectual and physical disabilities.

Since 1948, the Westmoreland County Blind Association’s mission has been to improve the quality of life for the sight impaired and physically challenged individuals as well as to assist in the prevention of blindness. To fulfill this mission, WCBA provides services and programs to individuals that enhance productivity and independence; and educates the community about eye disease, damage preventio

n and detection. WCBA offers a variety of retail products and business services- from document destruction to manufacturing. All proceeds from these services are used to fund programs that benefit the individuals we serve.

The WCBA is hosting our fourth annual BINGO fundraiser! Save the date for Saturday, October 4 at 11:45 AM. We’ll host it at West Point Firehall in Greensburg.

🔴 Pre-Vocational & Adult Training Facility (ATF) Openings:

The Westmoreland County Blind Association provides Pre-Vocational and Adult Training Facility Programs to individuals with intellectual disabilities. The Programs operate Monday thru Friday (8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.). This is to inform you that we are seeking individuals for both of these Programs.

There are openings for ALL days of operation and contacting Lisa Loughner at lloughner@wcbainpa.org or at 724-837-1250 ext 33 for more details or to schedule a tour is recommended. We have variety of jobs available for the IDD population and the ATF is very involved within the community.

🔴 Companion & In-Home Habilitation:

This is to inform all of the WCSI SC’s and Staff that the Westmoreland County Blind Association provides Companion and In-Home Habilitation services to eligible individuals.

The intent of this message is to inform you that WCBA will hire Family Members, Caregivers, etc. to provide such service. We have done this on many occasions and having someone provide this service from someone familiar with the individual has worked out quite well.
