🎉 Congratulations! 🩺

We’re excited to announce that over 100 students completed their Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program with Hillendell Medical Training on Thursday, June 26 in Lawrenceville, GA! 🎓

Recently, our Affinity Hospice recruitment team had the opportunity to meet, connect with, and recruit top talent on an on-site networking event hosted by Hillendell Medical.

As these future healthcare professionals take the next step in their journey, we hope to see some familiar faces on our team, serving our patients with the knowledge they have obtained in their program.

We want to make a shout out to our July employee of the month, Jennifer, RN! Jennifer has been nothing but amazing since she has started with us. She brings a wide range of experience to the job and it allows her to truly serve our patients and community in an outstanding way. Patients brag on her all the time and in times of need, she rises to the occasion without fail. One particular time a new patient’s family members reached out and let our staff know that Jennifer had made all the difference and made the hospice choice so easy and smooth. She makes everyone around her laugh, you never know what she is going to come up with but that is what we love about her. Our patients and staff were truly blessed when she joined our team. Big round of applause for Jennifer our July employee of the month.

Meet Breana! 🎉

Breana is our social media specialist for our 19 branch locations in the 5 states that we service. We asked her to discuss her career history and share with us something "fun" and personal, here is what she had to say,

"As of April this year, I have been in the social media, graphic design, and the marketing field for 12 years. I have enjoyed creating all types of designs and have constructed large projects in the past; some of which were vehicle wraps and billboards, and hundreds of small projects throughout my career. I have designed over 100 websites in my profession, our Affinity Hospice site is one that I am most proud of! I get most excited when creating videos because they, "bring to life" a message or inspire emotion out of people. I always say, "I have the fun job", because I really do.

I specifically enjoy working in healthcare because I get the pleasure of seeing our amazing team care for those in need and serve them well with humility, compassion, and grace. I also have the luxury of seeing our patients in each location, with every video or picture that comes across my email. It is a reminder that every life we encounter has a "story" and each person we touch has a family and friends that rely on us to show superior attention and care to their needs. I find it very gratifying to be a part of such a team, one that leads through serving others willingly and diligently.

A fun fact about myself is that I have painted a mural for a theme park!"

Meet Sandreka!

We asked Sandreka to tell some interesting facts about her career and her personal life. She would like for our patients, their family and our team to know these cool details about herself:

🔹I've been a CNA for 9 years

🔹I'm fairly new to Affinity hospice 1 month & 10 days. I'm excited to be part of such a compassionate team.

🔹What I enjoy most is the personal connections with patients. I love being able to make them feel comfortable, respected, and cared for. Sometimes it's the little things that mean the most a smile, a kind word or, simply being present.

🔹Hospice care inspires me because it's about compassion, dignity, and helping patients and families through a very meaningful time. It's privilege to be a part of a person's final journey and to provide comfort and support along the way.

🔹I love to cook it's very therapeutic for me.

Meet Cautina!

Cautina has been a CNA for 11 years. She has been a valued employee with us here at Affinity for 1 year. A fun fact about Cautina is that she loves animals!

When asked, "What do you like most about being a CNA?", she said, "The opportunity to provide comfort and care to patients during their time of need".

When we requested she tell us, "What inspires you about Hospice?", she stated, "The ability to make a positive impact on patients’ lives and provide support to their families during a difficult time".
