Doing the bunny hop through Glen Oaks today! 🐰💛

We had so much fun handing out Easter eggs (filled with stress balls!) to both our patients and staff, spreading a little joy and a lot of smiles along the way.

Amy, our Director of Risk, even stopped for a photo with the Easter Bunny (a big shoutout to Julia, our HIM Director, for hopping into the role so perfectly! 🐣).

Moments like these remind us how important it is to bring lightness, laughter, and connection into each day. 💙

We are so grateful for each of our clinicians at GOH. Your work changes lives, and it does not go unnoticed. Thank you for all that you do! 👏

📣 Free CEU Opportunity: The Rise of Gambling Disorder — Stigma, Devastation, and Clinical Response.

As sports betting expands nationwide and mobile gambling puts 24/7 access at everyone’s fingertips, clinicians are seeing a rapidly growing — and often hidden — crisis. Gambling Disorder, recognized in the DSM‑5‑TR as a behavioral addiction, is one of the most misunderstood and underdiagnosed conditions in mental health today.

Unlike substance misuse, gambling addiction leaves no visible signs, often hiding behind secrecy, financial strain, and deep shame. Yet the consequences can be severe, including depression, anxiety, relationship breakdowns, co‑occurring substance use, financial devastation, and one of the highest su***de attempt rates among addictive disorders.

Join us for this important CEU as we explore how to better identify, understand, and treat Gambling Disorder.

CEU Objectives:
• Identify DSM‑5‑TR diagnostic criteria.
• Recognize early warning signs.
• Understand family system dynamics.
• Explain the mental health impact.
• Apply evidence‑based treatment approaches.
• Identify appropriate referral resources.
• Explore broader cultural and societal influences.

Glen Oaks Hospital is buzzing with excitement after the Seattle Seahawks’ win in the big game, where they defeated the New England Patriots 29–13 to take home the Lombardi Trophy for the second time in franchise history.

A special shoutout to Jessica, RN, who has been with us for about three years and has proudly supported the Seahawks through every season. Her passion, team spirit and commitment to our patients and team are truly appreciated, and this is the perfect moment to celebrate both her and the Seahawks. 💙💚

Whether you were cheering for Seattle or simply enjoyed the game, here is to teamwork, perseverance and championship energy on the field and here at Glen Oaks. 🏈

At Glen Oaks Hospital, our outpatient program sets us apart. Healing can happen through connection, movement and meaningful experiences. One of the ways we stand out is through our equine therapy program, a unique and impactful approach to mental health recovery. It gives patients the chance to reconnect with themselves and move forward with strength and purpose.

We are honored to attend Ignite the Conversation, a seminar focused on substance use medicine and mental health.

We heard meaningful insights from Dr. Etim and Pastor Doty, who shared his personal journey with addiction and reminded us how important compassion, honesty and connection are in recovery.

One more speaker is still to come, and we’re grateful to be part of conversations that reduce stigma and strengthen hope.
