Did you know just about 200,000 people in the US are affected by IT Band Syndrome and 12% of that accounts for injuries within runners? 😲

THE PROBLEM: IT BAND SYNDROME

The IT band is a thick band of tissue that runs along the outside of the leg, from the hip to the knee. When it becomes irritated or inflamed, it can cause pain on the outer side of the knee and sometimes the hip.

THE CAUSE:

Occurs when the tough band of tissue (iliotibial band) that extends from the pelvic bone to the shinbone becomes so tight that it rubs the thighbone. Distance runners and cyclists are especially susceptible to it.

THE SOLUTION: CUPPING

Cupping can be an effective treatment for Iliotibial Band Syndrome (ITBS) by helping to release tightness and improve range of motion. It's a decompressive technique that helps to alleviate pain and promote healing by separating tissue layers and increasing blood flow
