Regional Medical Center of Central Alabama (RMCCA) and the Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce have announced a joint effort to raise awareness of the new Alabama Rural Hospital Investment Program, a state initiative designed to strengthen and sustain rural healthcare systems through community investment.
The program, established under the “Rural Hospital Investment Act of 2025” (HB86), provides state income tax credits for donations made to eligible rural hospitals. The initiative aims to ensure the long-term viability of healthcare services in rural areas by encouraging individuals and businesses to contribute financially to their local hospitals.
Available for tax years 2026 through 2028, the program allows donors to make a meaningful impact on the future of healthcare in their communities — while also receiving a financial benefit.
