Let’s add to the conversation from symptoms to prevention—because meningitis is serious, but there are ways to protect your kids.

🛡️ Vaccines matter. The MenACWY vaccine is routine for preteens and teens (11 & 16), but don’t forget about the MenB vaccine too—especially for college students or those in group settings. Ask your provider.

🧼 Hand hygiene is a must. Wash hands often—before eating, after sports, after being out and about. Soap still works wonders.

🚫 Avoid sharing personal items. Drinks, lip gloss, chapstick, v**e pens—just don’t. Meningitis can spread through saliva.

💤 Prioritize rest and immune health. A strong immune system is part of the prevention plan.

📍Bottom line: Prevention starts at home. Stay informed, stay clean, and talk to your provider about full vaccine protection.

Jeanette is not only a 2x sudden cardiac arrest survivor but also my daughter’s bonusmom, and my friend, and now we're partners in this mission. ❤️

Do you know how to use an AED?
🔴 CPR & AED Awareness Week Spotlight 🔴

Survival rates for Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) significantly improve with timely AED use:

🔹 Without any intervention, survival drops by 7–10% every minute after collapse.
🔹 With CPR alone, survival rates are around 9–10%.
🔹 With CPR + AED within 3–5 minutes, survival can increase to 50–70% or even higher.

According to the American Heart Association:

> 🫀 Immediate CPR and defibrillation with an AED can double or triple a person's chance of survival.

That’s why early recognition and action matter so much—AEDs save lives when used quickly and correctly.

Hey y’all, just a quick wellness heads-up!
Be careful when buying homemade health products like oils, blends, or supplements from people selling online. Even if it sounds amazing and folks are raving about it, please remember:

✔️Are they making it safely and cleanly?

✔️Do they have proof the ingredients are tested and pure?

✔️Are the health claims based on facts, or just stories?

✔️Could it interact with your prescription meds or cause side effects?

Just because it’s “natural” doesn’t always mean it’s safe for everyone. I’m all for supporting wellness and small businesses, but I want us all to do it wisely. If you’re not sure, check in with your healthcare provider first.

🚨 Check Your Freezers! Walmart Broccoli Recall Alert 🚨

If you’ve purchased Marketside Broccoli Florets from Walmart, check your freezer ASAP! 🚫🥦

Braga Fresh issued a voluntary recall for 12-ounce bags of Marketside Broccoli Florets due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. While the recalled broccoli had a "Best if Used by Date" of December 10, 2024, some people may have frozen it for later use.

What You Need to Do:
✅ Check your freezer for any Marketside Broccoli Florets with this date.
✅ Do NOT eat it! Listeria can cause serious illness, especially in pregnant women, young children, elderly individuals, and those with weakened immune systems.
✅ Throw it away immediately or return it to Walmart for a refund.

Symptoms of listeria infection include fever, headache, nausea, stiffness, and stomach issues. If you have consumed the product and feel unwell, contact your healthcare provider.
