Important announcement.
Beginning on the week of October 11, 2021, Plumas District Hospital will reopen the Indian Valley Medical Clinic. Services will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from Elizabeth McGee DNP, AGNP-C PMHNP, Laura Orange MSN AGNP, and Wendy Flapan DO. A telehealth option will also be available. Patient demand will be assessed regularly to determine when additional patient care days are added. Blood draws will not be offered initially.

In partnership with Care Flight, ambulance services continue to be offered throughout the communities of Indian Valley. EMS resources are stationed near the Indian Valley Medical Clinic.

Plumas District Hospital’s Greenville-based Physical and Occupational Therapy Center is undergoing repairs due to fire damage. A reopening date is undetermined at this time.

Due to the wildfire, our Indian Valley Medical Clinic and Physical Therapy Office will be closed for an undetermined timeframe. Please know that we will continue to support patients and evacuees with our medical services at our main campus in Quincy. If you need to see a provider, please contact 530-283-2121. If you have medication refill needs, please reach out to Quincy Pharmacy, 530-283-4545 for assistance.

Plumas District Hospital has listed resources below for evacuees.

Quincy Pharmacy is accommodating prescription refill requests for patients and community members impacted by the Dixie Fire.
Please call 530.283.4545 for assistance.

Plumas County, in coordination with other agencies, has established a local assistance center that will be open to the public this Thursday through Saturday in Quincy. The address is 1446 East Main Street, Quincy. For those who are unable to access the event in person can call (530) 283-6586 to access help.

There is also an evacuation site at the Portola Station Baptist Church, located at 171 South Gulling St. Portola.

For anyone that has had to evacuate because of the Dixie Fire, Loyalton High School is open for evacuees. The gym, and classrooms are available, as well as parking for anyone that has a trailer. There is also room for livestock.

Plumas County Office of Education is partnering with Project Camp ProjectCampLA to offer a pop-up day camp to support children ages 6-16 and their families impacted by the . Children can be in a safe and engaging program and parents can get the time they need to navigate this chapter. The program will run from Wednesday, August 11th-Saturday, August 14th. The day camp will be located on the Quincy Elementary campus at Pioneer- 175 N Mill Creek Road. Camp is open to ALL children, ages 6-16. ProjectCamp is seeking volunteers to help run this program.

For those who need clothing, Quincy Thrift will be open today from 11AM-4PM for evacuees only. The store is also accepting donations of new and highly needed items for those displaced by the fire. 515 Main St, Quincy.

A MANDATORY Evacuation order has been issued for the Community of Meadow Valley due to a wildfire. This includes all areas in between Big Creek/Bucks Lake Road intersection, east to Snake Lake Road.

You should leave the area immediately! If you remain, emergency personnel may not be able to help you.

An evacuation center is being set up at the Springs of Hope Church located at 59 Bell Lane Quincy.

Emergency personnel will be going door to door to conduct in person notifications.

In the 24 hours since the first confirmed case of COVID-19 in Plumas County was announced, we have seen a jump in posts from people expressing their fears and concerns about the virus. People are facing big challenges. They want to keep themselves and their families safe while balancing work responsibilities, child care, home schooling, financial pressures and potentially unemployment.

Over the next few days we will post a series of helpful tips. By practicing these key behaviors, we hope that you will be able to reinforce the skills you need to face the uncertainty of the days ahead with strength and resiliency.
