IMPORTANT UPDATE:

Muhlenberg Weight Loss will be transitioning away from compounded weight loss medications and moving toward commercially available FDA-approved treatment options.
We are excited to announce that we will soon be accepting insurance for qualifying services and medications. In addition, commercial medication pricing has decreased significantly in recent months, making treatment more affordable and accessible for many patients. Without insurance, medications can still be prescribed, the commercial products can range from $199-$449

Since our current patients are already established with our clinic, we will be able to continue your care and discuss transitioning to commercially available prescription options when appropriate. Our team will work with each patient individually regarding treatment plans, insurance coverage, and medication availability.
Our goal is to continue providing safe, effective, and personalized medical weight loss care while offering patients more long-term treatment options.

The pharmacy has been extremely backed up the month of April and they say it's just a temporary delay that will be resolved soon. Many compound pharmacies have stopped compounding weight loss medications due to them coming off the FDA shortage list. However, Empower Pharmacy plans on continuing the compounding of these medications but has also made them very popular recently causing the delays. It is best to order medications 2-3 weeks early. Medications are ordered every Tuesday!
