These are a few of my favorite things...
The rest of this patient’s photos are coming soon, but for now, a few little comments on some of my favorite things😍:
(1/2) Using deep plane technique for face and necklifts:
Patients ask me for “mini” lifts all the time (which are not actually a defined “thing”, but I won’t go down that rabbithole here...🙃) - I do not do them. They simply do not have the power and versatility of deep plane lifting. The best way I can explain it is that the core principles of deep plane lifting are (1) reduction of heavy, full, or ptotic deep structures and (2) release of retaining ligaments - these two critical concepts allow for comprehensive, natural rejuvenation. Beyond those two principles, every patient is unique - different degrees of reduction, vectors of lift, magnitudes of lift >> different surgery duration, incision length, recovery time - but the end result is you 10-20 years ago, NOT you looking stretched, weird, and disharmonious.
(3) Pairing browlift with face and necklifts:
People tell me all the time that they do not want to do a browlift, but to me, it’s one of the most important aspects in creating a natural appearance after facial rejuvenation surgery. If a patient has a slightly heavy brow, I will not do a face/necklift without doing the brow along with it. There are several reasons for this, but most importantly, I do it to avoid weird bunching/pleating that can occur in the temple when a good face and necklift is done without addressing a heavy brow.
Stay tuned for the rest of this patient’s before & after photos - coming soon!💚
