Identified as Deaf/Hard of Hearing? Identified with having hearing within normal limits? Some feel sadness, some feel relief, some feel joy. This is a safe and respectful space where no judgment will be passed. Simply opening a door for free expression, providing community and always growing as a professional to help and support you all! My own mom thought it was her fault, something she had done or not done while she was pregnant with me. Another friend felt relief because she had been repeatedly told her child was “lazy” for not having spoken language development yet. Another was elated - as all of her children and grandchildren were hearing and finally she had one family member who could potentially understand and live in her same beautiful deaf world. Everyone has a different reaction and I’d love to be a safe space for you to share 💕 Please share and tag anyone I may have missed!
