Need some more mindful movement in your life? Join me for any of my weekly classes! All classes are at except for Saturday mornings when I get to teach at one of my favorite coffee shops/breweries in town, Other Lands! You don’t have to be flexible, you don’t have to be coordinated, or a certain level of experienced. All you need to be is open & willing to try. Many of you don’t know this but I used to be really into vegan cooking, baking in particular, & even put in a few years creating raw vegan desserts. I was a baker for several years making all kinds of vegan & gluten free things from scratch- waaayyy before this style of eating was popular, & I’ve worked in a handful of kitchens in various roles including Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, & Raw Chef, & I’ve even spent time as a Chef Trainer & Plant-Based Consultant. Basically I spend about a decade working closely with food & learning how to make things taste good while prioritizing food quality & integrity & health.

As your Heath Coach, I can share my experience & knowledge with you if you’re wanting to expand upon your relationship with food & cooking. I can teach you how to read labels (sooo important!!), help you stock your pantry with all the healthy staples, & even show you how to cook meals you’ll love that fit your diet & lifestyle helping to improve your overall quality of life & well-being without being obsessive or overly restrictive.

9- Raw Vegan Gluten Free Refined Sugar Free Almond Coconut Love Cups

10- Avocado “toast” platter on raw gluten free seed “crackers”

This little walk down my food memory lane is making me miss cooking! Maybe I bring back my weekly meal deliveries this fall? 🤔

Did you know that daily movement is one of the top factors of health & longevity?

I’d love for you to come move your body with me at any of my weekly classes, wether in-studio at or at my fave coffeeshop/brewery on Saturday mornings! This month I’ll also be leading a 10:00 poolside flow at on 5/17 & 5/31- $15 gets you the class & all-day pool access in the most peaceful, beautiful setting!

If group classes aren’t your thing, I also offer private yoga & fitness instruction & I’ve got room to take on just 1 more client for the summer! On top of being a yoga instructor & certified wellness coach I’m also an NASM Certified Personal Trainer, & I focus on functional movement & mobility by using light weights & resistance bands to strengthen & condition our smaller, stabilizing muscles.

Meditation is a constant practice. What we are cultivating when we meditate is a place beyond thought, feeling, & bias or judgement — a place of calm, clarity, and compassion. Once we become comfortable with the coming and going of thoughts — letting them arise and then letting them go — we come to understand how our thoughts and emotions can be fleeting, and that we give them weight and meaning with all our ruminating. And so it’s easy to see within this understanding how meditation creates a perspective shift.

I like to start my day with a short guided meditation using my Sattva or Insight Timer app. And I love incorporating a mudra because it helps me feel more connected to my body & spirit. The mudra shown in this picture, Gyan mudra, is one of my favorites because it connects the thumb, representing universal consciousness, to the index which represents individual consciousness, thereby creating bonding the two.

A really simple way to start your meditation practice is the candle gazing method. Simply light a candle & watch the flame closely for a few minutes. That’s it!

Hydration seems like such a simple thing but the sad truth is that all water is not created equal.

Did you know that drinking purified water can actually pull essential minerals from your cells? 😱 Seems counter-intuitive because most of us have caught on to the fact that standard tap water in the US can be pretty contaminated with heavy metals, fluoride, & even traces of all kinds of pharmaceutical drugs so when we see the word “purified” we tend to think that we’re making a healthier choice.

Ultimately we energize whatever belief systems & paradigms we focus our attention on as our thoughts have the power to shape our reality so we definitely don’t want to create a fear-based environment, but having awareness never hurts!

My preferred water system for my home is the Berkey because it filters out the nasties, including fluoride & chlorine, but keeps the minerals so the water is actually hydrating. I always leave home with a full water bottle, glass or stainless steel, so I can avoid drinking tap water whenever possible. If I’m on the road & I absolutely have to buy bottled water I look for spring water that’s bottled at the source. I like Mountain Valley because it’s spring water in a glass container. (Side note: I won’t drink Liquid Death as I believe words carry vibrations & have the power to heal or destroy. Dr. Emoto’s research of spoken & written words affecting the molecular structure of water is pretty incredible, so I can just imagine what happens to water that’s labeled “death” & I want no part of that!)

How do you like your water? *This is not an invitation to sell me Kangen water lol. Love it, the water is great, do your thing & share your passion but no, I don’t want to buy or sell the machines currently. 😊🤍

Anyone else missing raspberry season? 😩🫐🍓😍

Raspberry benefits:

Contain strong antioxidants such as Vitamin C, quercetin and gallic acid that fight against cancer, heart and circulatory disease and age-related decline. They are high in ellagic acid, a known chemopreventative, and have been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties.

Raspberries have been shown to inhibit the production of COX-I and COX-II enzymes. Anti inflammatory products like ibuprofen and aspirin, inhibit COX-I and COX-II resulting in the reduction of pain associated with arthritis, gout and other inflammatory conditions.

Even the raspberry oil is creating interest in the cosmeceutical market (skin care products which provide health benefits). The oil from raspberry seeds is rich in Vitamin E, Omega-3 fatty acids and has a sun protection factor (SPF) of 25-50.
