Please join us in welcoming Captain/Engineer Chandler Murray to our team!

Chandler is a career firefighter and EMT-B with over 15 years of dedicated service in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. He currently serves with the Pelham-Batesville Fire Department and previously spent nine years with the Westview-Fairforest Fire Department, where he was promoted to both Lieutenant and Captain within the same year.

Throughout his career, Chandler has taken on numerous leadership roles across several departments, including Boiling Springs, Inman Community, Whitney, and the Mayo Area Volunteer Fire Department.

In 2023, Chandler was recognized with a lifesaver citation for his role in a successful cardiac arrest resuscitation and was also named Officer of the Year by the Boiling Springs Fire Department.

Chandler is deeply passionate about firefighter development and training. He has served as a Shift Training Officer and instructor, and as a Swiftwater Rescue Instructor, he brings real-world experience, strong leadership, and a commitment to preparing firefighters for high-risk rescue environments.

We’re proud to have Chandler on board and look forward to the knowledge and experience he brings to our program!
