The worst advice for shoulder pain: "just rest it".

You go to your doctor, get a handout of exercises, try some things on YouTube, maybe take anti-inflammatories. But that nagging pain is still slowing you down 3 months later.

Patty was diagnosed with arthritis. She tried different treatments that didn't work. She could barely move.
Six months ago, she needed the railing just to get down the stairs.

A peek behind the scenes at what a day at Movement Solutions actually looks like, through PT Nia’s perspective!

“My mornings start with coffee (non-negotiable), checking in on my clients’ homework through TrueCoach, and making sure the gym is ready to go. But the real work happens one-on-one with each person who walks through our doors.”

This client came in originally for back pain, but woke up with neck pain that morning. That’s the beauty of working in a clinic like this—we can adapt in real time! We addressed the neck pain first with some active range of motion and dry needling, and the client felt noticeably better.

The one term active adults hear constantly, feel confused about, and make real decisions based on: ARTHRITIS.

Arthritis isn't a diagnosis of being broken. It's not a life sentence of pain or limitation. And it's definitely not a reason to stop moving.

It's merely normal age-related or use-related changes in the joint. Think of it like wrinkles on the inside...completely normal, and not automatically painful.

Plenty of people with arthritis live incredibly active lives. They hike, lift, play pickleball, train consistently and build strength.

What matters more than what shows up on an X-ray? How the joint moves. How confident you are using it. How strong the muscles around it are.

When you address movement quality, build strength, and restore confidence, you change the entire trajectory.

That's the work we do. And if you've been told to 'just live with it' or avoid the activities you love because of arthritis, we want you to know there's another path.

You're not broken. You're capable of more than you've been led to believe.

We believe that rehabilitation, fitness, and health go hand-in-hand. We know that to provide a whole-body approach, time and attention is needed.

Unfortunately, the traditional healthcare model is dependent on treating a large number of patients in a short amount of time. It can be difficult to receive quality care in this type of environment.

Movement Solutions provides an alternative. We were founded on a patient-centered philosophy. We emphasize one to one care, service, and relationships. We spend the time needed to give excellent care. We make ourselves available to answer questions and take care of our patient’s needs. We enjoy getting to know our patients and strive to have their best interest at heart.
