Join Niki for an enlightening journey to begin the newyear. We will blaze through 4 rounds of 27 sun salutations, setting new intentions for the new years and cleansing old habits and breaking through barriers.

Each of the 4 rounds of 27 salutations will be dedicated to an agreement from the book The Four Agreements. As we work to set these new intentions, we will bravely and gracefully open our minds to a sense of enlightenment and experience our higher self.

We will allow for a few minutes of restorative postures between each round.

This class is open to all; feel free to take as many or as few sun salutations you please

* DRAW ONE LEG IN TOWARD YOUR CHEST AND ROOT DOWN THROUGH YOUR STANDING LEG’S FOOT. LIFT YOUR KNEECAP AND FIRM YOUR GLUTE IN TOWARD YOUR MIDLINE.

* BRING YOUR BENT KNEE DOWN IN LINE WITH YOUR STANDING LEG.

* BEGIN TO TIP FORWARD AND REACH YOUR LIFTED FOOT UP BEHIND YOU.

* BRING YOUR FREE ARM ACROSS YOUR BODY TO HOLD ON TO YOUR LIFTED FOOT.

* FOR THE FLIP GRIP, BRING YOUR SAME-SIDE ELBOW TO THE OUTSIDE OF THE LEG AND TURN YOUR PALM UP AS YOU GRAB HOLD OF THE PINKY-TOE EDGE OF YOUR FOOT.

* LET GO WITH YOUR FREE ARM AND TURN YOUR CHEST TOWARD THE FRONT OF YOUR MAT, LIFTING YOUR ELBOW UP TOWARD THE SKY.

* REACH YOUR FREE ARM UP AND BACK BEHIND YOU AND GRAB HOLD OF YOUR LIFTED FOOT. KICK YOUR FOOT UP AS YOU PRESS YOUR CHEST FORWARD AND STRAIGHTEN YOUR STANDING LEG.

* Make sure to attempt both sides.

Established in January of 2014 as the first Yoga Studio of Greenville, NC located in the heart of Uptown. At Purple Blossom Yoga Studio, we are about compassionate yoga for the community.
