I know the before picture isn’t the greatest. I should have taken a good laying down photo. Gunner was shaped like a banana 🍌 from a broken collar bone at birth. This affected his body alignment, sucking skills and overall made nursing challenging.

This little bu**er had such a c-curve to the right side.
It made me feel so upset 😭. As an IBCLC, I knew how to help him but it still took time and a team approach. He has a little more body tension to work through but he has made such a BIG improvement!

We used bodywork like infant massage, chiropractic Radiance Chiropractic 864.568.6078 & CST Unwinding Therapies, LLC and of course an IBCLC, me 😂

Work with an IBCLC that does a team approach. That is how you will get to your goal the quickest and best way!

Little shout out to our admin, Rebeka. 💗She’s been running things behind the scenes for several months now, and we are so grateful to have her. She’s kind, dedicated, prayerful, and creative. She is a beautiful balance to our team. She works at home with sweet Annie (our assistant admin/mascot/manager😍), loves all things Disney, and loves advocating for what we do as well as for families. You’re amazing, Rebeka!

Went to Hendersonville yesterday to hang with Dr. Amy Wei’s with . They have a great setup with having an OT () on staff prepping infants and older children’s whole body, mouth, and system pre and post frenectomy.

We have collaborated lately, and talked more about what taking care of our patients look like, collaboration for the well being of our patients, and the needs of the community.

💫The best part, is while I am one person, the whole CST modality is represented. 🙌🏻 That means my fellow colleagues, YOU are represented (and like yesterday, I referred some people to you!) Anytime we touch someone, speak with someone, we are holding the standard of this modality in our hands. And that means collaboration with other disciplines, but also with fellow CSTs and body workers. We are a team, after all. No matter where we work.

Frequently in sessions that involve tissue and emotional support, we recommend breathing exercises, and also PLAY. Not playing with your kids, but your inner self, inner child, your heart. What do you want to do to play today? It can last 5 minutes, or last an hour. Is it dancing and singing with a spoon in your hand? Or climbing trees? Today I got the opportunity for big play- play in the trees (that was also a nature inspired workout 😅). Activities like breathing and meditation are important— don’t leave out what you came here to also experience. Play. ❤️ 🤟🏻🫀
