The MS Chapter of the ACC is excited to announce ACC NP Ambassador for the Delta Region:
Noell Harris AG-ACNP
Noell has worked for The Greenville Clinic, cardiology department since 2022. She is also affiliated with Delta Health, The Medical Center, moonlighting in the emergency department.
She is an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with 16 years of clinical experience in advanced heart failure, cardiothoracic intensive care, emergency care, and now outpatient general cardiology. Noell has managed acute and complex cases both inpatient and outpatient, lead interdisciplinary teams, and driven quality improvement projects. An academic at heart, she thrives on research driven and evidenced based care.
Originally from Greenville, Mississippi, she completed her undergrade studies at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2010. Noell worked as a nurse in the cardiothoracic stepdown unit at the University of North Carolina Hospitals prior to transitioning to the cardiothoracic intensive care unit at Duke University Medical Center in 2012. While in the CTICU at Duke, Noell was a clinic nurse III, charge nurse, critical care registered nurse (CCRN), and ventricular assist device/ mechanical circulatory support educator. She helped author inpatient policies on advanced hemodynamic monitoring and mechanical circulatory support. She also trained Duke Heart Center staff on critical care management of extracorporeal right ventricular and left ventricular assist devices.
In 2017, Noell graduated from Duke University magna cm laude with a Master of Science in Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nursing. Following graduation, Noell joined the Advanced Heart Failure and Mechanical Circulatory Support program at Duke where she practiced a nurse practitioner both inpatient and outpatient for five years prior to moving back to MS in 2021.
She remains an active member of the American College of Cardiology, Heart Failure Society of America, American Association of Nurse Practitioners and American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
Noell is grateful for the opportunity to bring her academic medicine background to the under-resourced Mississippi Delta. Her heart for caring for underserved populations also led her to the National Association of Junior Auxiliaries, an organization dedicated to meeting the needs of underserved children. She currently serves as the vice president of Junior Auxiliary of Greenville. When not working or volunteering, Noell loves to spend as much time as possible with her husband and three little girls. Her hobbies include gardening, painting and yoga.
