Recently our residents listened to Tina and Ike Turner sing. All who attended had a great time. Our treatment nurse Alicia performed as Tina Turner and one of our assisted living residents Terrance Daniels performed as Ike Turner.

The staff and residents are saddened to learn of the passing of Deputy Drifter. For those that don't know, Deputy Drifter was a therapy dog with the Pitt County Sheriff's Office. Deputy Drifter would come out to the facility almost monthly to visit with the residents and staff and help bring smiles to everyone's face - it was always a great day when he visited. Deputy Drifter would always know what offices to go to get his treats. Deputy Drifter did so much for Pitt County - words can't express how much he will be missed. Rest easy our friend!!!!!!!

Another successful Resident and Staff Social took place on Friday 4-5-24. Since the Masters Golf Tournament was upcoming our Dietary Department made Homemade Pimento Cheese Sandwiches, Candied Bacon and Creme Filled Sandwich Cookies. We do a Social every Friday afternoon so come join us sometime.

Our Dietary Department participated in the 4th Wicked Pissah Soup Makah Competition at the Joy Soup Kitchen. This was the 2nd time that our staff volunteered for this soup competition. They made a Vegetable Beef Soup along with Grilled Cheese Sandwiches. We fed around 150 people at the shelter. At ECRW we give Compassionate Care with Passion and are making sure to give back to our valued community. Check out these pictures.
