How has your snow day been?! ❄️❄️

We have been in and out since 8:00 this morning 🙃 Hopefully we have seen the worst of it and won't see any further damage or power outages.

Nourish will be closed tomorrow due to the icy conditions. For current clients, our messaging portal is still open if you need anything!

Our phone lines will be open for new appointments.

For Tuesday families, we will call/text you tomorrow once we see how the weather and roads are looking.

This week I had the honor of seeing a family for the final time after walking alongside them for four years and three babies. 🤍

What a gift it has been to support their feeding journeys, to witness growth through different seasons of motherhood, and to be part of moments like these along the way. Watching a mother grow in confidence, intuition, and trust in herself is one of the most meaningful parts of this work.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your story, Melissa. It has truly been an honor 🥹 🤍

Have you ever met someone who simply made you want to be a better, kinder, more joyful person? That was Adrienne. She had the most gentle spirit, accepting everyone exactly as they were and helping each of us discover more joy within ourselves and in the world around us.

The world will truly not be the same without you, Adrienne. Your presence has left a lasting imprint on all of us.

May we honor you by living as you did, leading with gentleness, choosing kindness, and finding joy wherever we can.

Kayla is a Registered Nurse and International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) who brings nearly two decades of nursing experience to her work with families. Before joining Nourish, she supported new parents in hospital and outpatient settings across South Carolina and Alabama — from the NICU and nursery to postpartum and medical-surgical units — developing a deep understanding of infant care and maternal recovery.

Kayla is TOTS-trained and integrates this specialized knowledge into her care, supporting infants with oral dysfunction through evidence-based assessment and gentle, functional approaches to feeding. Her work as a lactation consultant has centered on helping families navigate feeding challenges with confidence and compassion. She provides individualized lactation support that prioritizes both infant thriving and maternal well-being, blending her clinical expertise with a calm, reassuring presence.

Kayla lives in Liberty with her husband and their four children, and brings both professional insight and lived experience to the families she serves. She’s passionate about helping parents build a strong foundation in those early days — offering education on latch, milk transfer, and bonding, while collaborating with community providers — from bodywork to feeding support — to ensure families receive well-rounded, coordinated care.
