Be Informed. Know the FACTS!

Influenza 101
Influenza or “flu” is a highly contagious viral infection of the respiratory tract (nose, throat and lungs) that can cause mild to severe illness and can result in complications that can lead to hospitalization or death. Learn more about this disease in order to properly protect yourself.

Vaccine Facts
Flu vaccines can reduce the chances of getting sick with the flu by up to 60%. Even if you still get sick, people who are vaccinated have less severe flu symptoms and are less likely to be hospitalized or die from flu-related complications.

Keep yourself and your family healthy with these simple steps:

*Avoid touching your face
*Wash your hands
*Cough in your elbow

If you grew up with Beanie Babies and Tamagotchis, you might not have had the option to get protected against HPV. Now our kids do. Give them the protection past generations didn’t have, because some things like HPV (and dial-up internet and pagers) should stay in the past.

Our grandparents and parents lived with the fear of measles. We didn’t have to. Measles vaccines have helped to keep classrooms safe and hospital rooms empty. But measles is making a comeback, and it spreads fast. 9 out of 10 unprotected people who are exposed to someone with measles get sick. Before school starts, check your child’s MMR protection:
✅1st dose at 12-15 months
✅2nd dose at 4-6 years (before kindergarten!)
✅If traveling internationally or living in an outbreak area, infants as young as 6 months can get an early dose. Let’s keep measles in the history books where it belongs.
