🌿 Community Care in Action 🌿
With the federal shutdown ending SNAP benefits on Nov. 1, many South Carolinians are facing uncertainty about how to afford groceries. More than 577,000 people statewide and 44,000 neighbors here in Greenville County relied on SNAP in 2024.
At Reedy River Counseling Associates, we believe access to food is a human right and that community care matters. Beginning November 6th, we will be collecting non-perishable food items to support our neighbors.
You may bring donations to your appointment or contact your provider to arrange another drop-off time. Virtual clients are encouraged to donate within their local SC communities.
Most needed items:
• Canned goods, pasta, rice, nut butters (no glass)
• Monetary donations: please give directly to Harvest Hope or a local food bank of your choice
Every contribution — big or small — is an act of compassion and solidarity. Thank you for helping us support our neighbors with dignity and care. 💛
