In A Heartbeat offers CPR, First Aid and Active Violence Response training. Serving DE & PA We offer classes at your place of business and at our office.

In A Heartbeat has been a recognized leader in providing First Aid, CPR and AED training for over 20 years. Our mission is to provide the highest quality instruction in a professional, safe, and relaxed environment. In A Heartbeat is authorized through several organizations including, the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Emergency Care & Safety Institute, National Safety Council, as well as the American Safety and Health Institute. Our instructors are certified with every organization we represent using their most current guidelines. They have diverse backgrounds including the healthcare profession, law enforcement, fire service and emergency medical care. Whether you need certification for licensing, education requirements or for your own peace of mind, In A Heartbeat has the class for you.

Holiday meals bring a mix of delicious foods and lively conversations. It can also create a perfect storm for choking incidents, especially for young children and older adults. Choking is common during celebrations when people are distracted, laughing, or eating quickly. It’s important to be careful and act fast if someone starts to choke. Without immediate action, it can be fatal within minutes.

Last year, we introduced you to Tyler Bryant who is a student at Epworth Christian School in Laurel, DE. Tyler had written an award-winning essay as part of the Laurel Fire Department fire prevention program.

We are pleased to announce that Tyler has done it again! This year’s essay claimed first place in the fire company’s competition and 2nd place in all of Sussex County!!!! This year’s essay focuses on the R.A.C.E. concept. We are happy to present the product of Tyler’s hard work.
