Olaf, Lilibet, Stella Maris, and Faustina threw off their blankets and completed some donkey zoomies in fresh ice/snow. Meanwhile, "Big Red" and "Little Red" (oldest + youngest) took full advantage of the white stuff with zero hesitation and maximum joy. Cold noses, red cheeks, loud laughter, and a lot of slipping-and-sliding fun all around.

📌 Office update: Our office will be closed Monday, and all patients with appointments have already been contacted. We’ll be back as soon as it’s safe to do so.

🧊 Good chiro advice for ice & snow:

-Take short steps and slow it down—no rushing.
- Keep hands out of pockets to help with balance (yes, really).
- Wear traction if you have it; if not, walk like a penguin 🐧.
- If you take a spill or wake up stiff after shoveling or sledding, get checked—small misalignments can turn into big aches fast.

Today is Law Enforcement Appreciation Day! At Greenville Spine Institute, this day is deeply personal.

Both Dr. Kevin P. Lewis, Clinic Director, and Dr. Joseph Pelicano, Associate Chiropractor, are former members of law enforcement. While their uniforms have changed, their calling to serve and protect has not.

For Dr. Lewis, that calling was forged through experience. Injured in the line of duty, he faced a potentially life-altering spinal surgery. Through chiropractic care, he was able to heal and avoid a serious, limiting outcome—an experience that changed the course of his life and led him to become a chiropractor, dedicated to helping others protect their health, mobility, and quality of life.

Today, both doctors continue serving our community in a new way—
✔️ Protecting spines
✔️ Restoring movement
✔️ Supporting the long-term health of those who serve others

We consider it a true honor to care for our community—and especially for our law enforcement officers and first responders who give so much every day.

Thank you for your service. We’re proud to serve you.

We take clean air seriously.

Our office runs a hospital-grade air purification system all day, every day, with repeated cycles and deep overnight cleaning—so you can feel confident being here, even during cold and flu season.

While chiropractic doesn’t treat sickness, many patients value consistent care as part of supporting their body’s natural ability to respond and recover.

Your comfort and safety matter. If you’re not feeling well, please call so we can guide you appropriately.

As a new year begins, you may see “IN / OUT” lists shared as a way of clarifying priorities.

For Greenville Spine Institute, this isn’t about trends or resolutions. They reflect the way we’ve always practiced — grounded in objective analysis, conservative care, and partnership with our patients.

Lumbardo: "I'm ridiculous?!!"
Dr Lewis: "No! You have radiculopathy!"
After hours of pouring over Lumbardo's 36-point exam, digital motion x-ray and hearing about his symptoms, Dr Lewis explained that the pain Lumbardo reported traveling down his leg with numbness and tingling was a symptom of the inflammation of his sciatica. Without chiropractic intervention, Lumbardo's pain would only worsen so Dr Lewis encouraged him that he had done the right thing by seeking treatment instead of ignoring it.
Have you bumped into Lumbardo in the office? He's here for a short, but intensive care plan before returning to an undisclosed location in the (ahem) north

Lumbardo has been hustling at the North Pole — long hours, heavy toy loads, and zero time for self-care. Eventually, the strain caught up with him, and pain started shooting down his leg. That’s when he made a quick stop into our office for help!

During his consultation with Dr. Kevin P Lewis, Lumbardo admitted the pain was keeping him from being his best elf… and that his candy-cane intake had doubled just to cope. (Relatable.)

After a consultation, 36-point exam, and motion study, Dr. Lewis is now crafting a personalized treatment plan to get Lumbardo realigned and ready to return to the North Pole before the big night.

If you spot Lumbardo around the office this week, give him a little encouragement — or share your favorite self-care tip. Even North Pole employees need a wellness plan!
