Physicians East proudly welcomes Jacob Hines, FNP-BC!

Jacob Hines is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a strong desire to improve Cardiovascular health outcomes across the lifespan. Jacob began his journey in healthcare at just 16 years old as a hospital volunteer. Jacob later graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and finally attended Duke University for his Master of Science in Nursing, where he obtained a speciality certificate in Cardiovascular Care.

Prior to joining Physicians East, Jacob began his career as a Telemetry Registered Nurse at Wilson Medical Center before moving to WakeMed in the Cardiac ICU. He was an RN for almost ten years before becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner, and has served Eastern North Carolina by working as a Primary Care Provider for the last five and a half years. Jacobs brings a unique perspective, having extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Outside of his clinical work, Jacob serves on the Board of Trustees at his church and is a member of the A/V Tech Team there as well. He also serves on the Executive Committee for his oldest son's Scouting America Troop. He enjoys time outdoors while hunting, fishing, kayaking, and spending time in his RV with his wife and three kids. Jacob is an avid fan of the ECU Pirates, Atlanta Braves, and Milwaukee Brewers while also being a fair-weather fan of the Carolina Panthers and Duke Blue Devils.

We would like to announce that starting November 2, 2025, Greenville Women's Care and Greenville OB/GYN will begin sharing calls. This means that the two practices will rotate providers and midwives to cover calls and deliveries for both practices. This will not impact scheduled C-Sections or who you see in the office for your OB or GYN care. The only change will be who will respond to after-hour calls and who delivers your baby. This change will allow our providers to be more available in the office to see patients.

We are pleased to announce the start of our annual Flu Clinic today. Patients, feel free to drop by at any time between now and November 7th. The clinic will operate Monday through Friday from 8:30am-12:30pm.

Physicians East is excited to announce we are offering free baseline mammograms every Saturday this October! This event is for women that are age 40 and older that have never had a mammogram. Please call us to schedule an appointment.
