💜 October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month 💜

At the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, we take domestic violence very seriously. Sadly, South Carolina continues to rank among the highest in the nation for women killed by men in domestic violence situations. Nationally, 1 in 4 women and 1 in 9 men experience intimate partner abuse.

Behind every statistic is a life, a family, and a community forever changed.

To those who may be suffering in silence: you are not alone. Our deputies, victim advocates, and community partners are here to help with resources, support, and protection. No one should ever feel unsafe in their own home.

If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, please call 911 immediately. Help is available, and we will be there for you.
