💮 January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month 💮

Cervical cancer is highly preventable with the right tools. According to the CDC, nearly all cervical cancers are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV)—making routine screenings and HPV vaccination powerful ways to reduce risk.

Regular Pap tests and HPV testing can detect changes early, often before cancer develops, and the HPV vaccine helps protect against the virus responsible for most cases.

At Greenville Pathology, we’re committed to supporting early detection and accurate diagnosis to help protect the health of our community. Awareness, prevention, and proactive care truly save lives.

🤍 Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 🤍

Today, we reflect on the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whose unwavering commitment to justice, equality, and service continues to inspire generations. His vision reminds us that compassion, respect, and unity are essential to building healthier, stronger communities.

At Greenville Pathology, we honor Dr. King’s legacy by striving to serve every patient with dignity, integrity, and care—today and every day.

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, What are you doing for others?”

🩸 January is National Blood Donor Month 🩸

At Greenville Pathology, we recognize how vital blood donation is to patient care and lifesaving treatment. According to the CDC, only about 3% of eligible Americans donate blood each year—yet blood is needed every single day for surgeries, cancer treatments, trauma care, and chronic conditions.

One donation can help save multiple lives. This month, we encourage our community to roll up a sleeve, support local blood drives, and help ensure hospitals have the blood supply they need when it matters most.

A small act can make a powerful difference. ❤️

💮 Together, we can help stop cervical cancer before it starts.
Most cervical cancer cases are preventable with regular screenings, HPV vaccination, and early treatment—simple steps that truly save lives.

Each year in the U.S., more than 13,000 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer, and nearly 4,000 lose their lives. Ladies, make those routine check-ups a priority. Parents, talk with your child’s healthcare provider about the HPV vaccine for children ages 12 and up.

One small action today can make a life-saving difference tomorrow.

🧼 Proper Hand Washing: A Simple Step for Big Protection 🧼

Keeping your hands clean is one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of germs, especially during cold and flu season. Follow these steps for proper hand hygiene:

Wet your hands with clean, running water (warm or cold).

Apply soap and lather well - don’t forget the backs of your hands, between fingers, and under nails.

Scrub for at least 20 seconds (hum the “Happy Birthday” song twice!).

Rinse thoroughly under running water.

Dry with a clean towel or air dryer.

Regular hand washing helps protect you and those around you from illnesses like the flu, colds, and COVID-19. Make it a habit - your health depends on it!
