☀️ Don’t Skip the Sunscreen! 🧴
Just a friendly reminder from your friends at Greenville Pathology: protecting your skin is more than just preventing a sunburn—it's about long-term health. 🔬 Your skin is your largest organ, and sun damage can lead to serious conditions, including skin cancer.

🕶️ Reapply every 2 hours, wear protective clothing, and seek shade during peak sun hours. Your future self (and your skin cells!) will thank you.

🌡️ Stay Safe in the Heat: Know the Risks ☀️

High temperatures aren’t just uncomfortable—they can be dangerous to your health. Heat-related illnesses can affect anyone, especially young children, older adults, and those with chronic conditions.

🚨 Watch for signs of:

Heat exhaustion: heavy sweating, weakness, nausea, dizziness

Heat stroke (a medical emergency): confusion, high body temperature, loss of consciousness

💧 Stay hydrated, take breaks in the shade, and avoid peak heat hours when possible.

At Greenville Pathology, we’re committed to supporting your health—inside and out. Know the signs, take precautions, and take care of your body during these hot summer months.

🧡 July is Juvenile Arthritis Awareness Month 🧬

Juvenile arthritis affects nearly 300,000 children in the U.S.—causing chronic joint pain, swelling, stiffness, and fatigue. It’s more than “just sore joints”—it’s an autoimmune and inflammatory condition that requires early diagnosis and ongoing care.

At Greenville Pathology, we recognize the impact chronic illnesses have on young patients and their families. While we don’t treat arthritis directly, our diagnostic insights help providers form accurate, timely treatment plans.

Let’s raise awareness, support ongoing research, and advocate for brighter, healthier futures for all children living with juvenile arthritis. 💙

☀️ Protect Your Skin: Choosing the Right Sunscreen 🧴

Did you know not all sunscreens are created equal? Choosing the right one for your skin type is key to preventing sun damage and reducing your risk of skin cancer.

Here are a few tips to help you pick the right sunscreen:

✅ Look for broad-spectrum protection – Shields against both UVA (aging) and UVB (burning) rays.
✅ SPF 30 or higher – For daily use, especially if you're outdoors.
✅ Mineral vs. Chemical – Mineral (zinc oxide or titanium dioxide) is ideal for sensitive skin.
✅ Water-resistant – Great for swimming, sweating, or spending extended time outside.
✅ Non-comedogenic – Won’t clog pores if you have acne-prone skin.

No matter your skin type, sunscreen should be part of your daily routine—even on cloudy days. Your skin is your largest organ—protect it!
