Have you ever noticed that right after Halloween, colds and flu seem to become more frequent and widespread? There’s a few reasons on why this happens including the shorter days with less sunlight ☀️ but there’s also another reason you may not think about. Sugar! 🍬 Too much sugar curbs the immune system cells that attack bacteria, meaning your body isn’t able to fight off germs 🦠 as well as it should, resulting in illness. Now, I’m not saying not to enjoy your Halloween 🎃 candy, just remember everything in moderation.
