✅ Registration is OPEN! The 129th PMDPA Convention will take place April 24-26, 2026, in North Charleston, South Carolina.

The Palmetto Medical, Dental, & Pharmaceutical Association (PMDPA) has connected African American physicians, dentists, and pharmacists of all generations in the Palmetto State since 1896.

This spring, we are excited to welcome our members and guests to the lowcountry as we explore this year’s theme, “Intersections of Minority and Rural Health Disparities.”

The 128th Annual Palmetto Medical, Dental, & Pharmaceutical Association Convention is happening in less than 24 hours!

Here’s what to know before you go:
🎟️ The L.W. Long Banquet and the Julia S. Long Scholarship Luncheon are both ticketed events. You can verify your registration at the convention check-in station.

🥼 We will be taking group photos in our white coats on Saturday, April 26th following the Julia S. Long Scholarship Luncheon. Please remind your colleagues to pack their white coats!

We are kicking off an exciting 2025 PMDPA Convention with today’s golf outing at The Preserve at Verdae!

Thank you to everyone who signed up! If you’re confirmed to play, don’t forget that a hotel reservation is required to validate your tee time. Please double-check your confirmation and plan for 2 riders per golf cart, when possible.

We are honored to welcome S.M. Edward Skinner, MPH as our guest speaker. Mr. Skinner, an alumnus of Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, Alabama, earned his Master’s in Public Health from South University in Columbia, South Carolina. As the Program Coordinator for the South Carolina Oral Health Action Network (SCOHAN), he is dedicated to strengthening a statewide safety net network to address gaps in dental access and equity. His work at SCOHAN is making a profound impact in reducing dental disease and tackling oral health challenges across all stages of life.
