When a person experiences a big accident. it is always good wisdom to reflect on the situation as a gift of learning.

It is your teacher. Investigate what you can learn to develop yourself physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Don't ask yourself "What did I do wrong?" because you will always end up with a negative judgment towards yourself.

Ask, "What can i learn from this, what is the lesson?"

Then you might see that you have been living too out of balance, maybe have been too caught up in your emotions, or maybe it is just an opportunity to deepen your faith in your capacity to meet life regardless of what happens to you.

In this way, we empower ourselves to continually grow and become our best selves without making ourselves, or life, bad or wrong.

Many Blessings,
Chunyi Lin

I'm sure that most of us know that eating broccoli can be beneficial for many health aspects, not only because it supplies nutrients, but it also helps in the process of toxin removal by modifying certain enzymes. Its actives and functions in the body can also help with hormone health. Therefore, the findings of this large, prospective study won't be a surprise: that people who eat broccoli have significant reductions in death from multiple causes. This result confirms other studies' findings.

However, what is more unique in this study is that the researchers looked at each gender (and many other variables) and found that men need to eat broccoli 1-2 times weekly, while women may need more, 3 or more times weekly.

We are constantly bombarded with the stresses of life; our jobs, parenting, care-taking, health issues, etc. It’s so imperative that we take time out for ourselves.

Stress is inevitable, but managed poorly, stress will drive aging forward like gasoline poured on a fire.

Using an epigenetic clock, researchers in this study [PMID 26673150] found that cumulative lifetime stress, but not childhood or current stress alone, was associated with accelerated epigenetic aging. And that the effects were stronger in older vs. younger participants.

The results aren’t surprising - we know that a full 25 percent of the methylation sites that are evaluated in the DNAmAge clock we used in our study are on gene regions that get turned on in response to stress.

These stress-stimulated genes are associated with diseases driven by inflammation including cancer, heart disease and, of course, aging itself.

This sounds like a bummer, I know. Stress feels like some unavoidable aspect of life that you can't get rid of without winning the lottery, or retiring, or moving to a secluded private island (or maybe all three).

But instead of letting it get you down, think of it more like a call to action. Your stress levels require your attention to bring them down.

Taking the time to practice some basic relaxation techniques - like meditation or deep breathing - can have a profound effect on your biological age and associated chronic diseases of aging. And as you turn down your stress levels, your day-to-day experiences with stress will also drop!
