Red Ribbon Week shines a light on the importance of prevention and the impact of drug misuse on our communities. According to the CDC’s Youth Risk Behavior Survey, about 30% of U.S. high school students reported current alcohol or drug use in 2023. Early prevention and education can change that path.

At Crossroads, we stand with individuals and families by offering care, resources and hope for lasting recovery. This week, let’s unite to inspire healthier choices and brighter futures.

According to SAMHSA, more than 20 million Americans are living with a substance use disorders, but only about 10 percent receive the care they need.

It's largely because of stigma, shame, fear and judgment. These silent forces prevent individuals from speaking up, seeking care or even acknowledging that they need help.

At Crossroads, we believe every person deserves access to compassionate, evidence-based treatment without fear or stigma. Together, we can create a culture of recovery. Find a location near you: crossroadstreatmentcenters.com/locations

October is Depression Awareness Month, dedicated to raising awareness of depression’s impact and encouraging people to seek support.

According to the CDC, an estimated 21 million U.S. adults experienced at least one major depressive episode in 2024. Depression is also strongly linked to substance use disorders, making early recognition and treatment critical.

At Crossroads, we believe that compassionate care and evidence-based treatment can help individuals overcome both depression and substance use disorders. No one should struggle in silence — help and hope are always within reach.
