It's been a heavy week for our community, and our hearts go out to the families who are grieving the loss of their children. In light of recent news reports regarding meningitis, we want to offer both clarity and reassurance. While these stories are tragic and upsetting, it's essential to know that not all forms of meningitis are contagious or require action from those who were in contact. Some types, such as Group B Streptococcus (GBS) meningitis, are extremely rare in older children and do not spread from person to person.
