November is National Family Caregivers Month!
Take time to honor the strength, love, and dedication of those who show up every day to care for others. Caregiving can be rewarding, but it can also be exhausting and emotionally heavy.

Take a moment to recognize the caregivers in your life, and remind them that their wellbeing matters too. A small act of support or gratitude can make a meaningful difference.

💜 Self Care Sunday 💜
This weeks’s self care practice is:
🌽 Harvesting Happiness 🌽

Just like seasonal harvests, our happiness grows from the small, intentional things we nurture over time.

Harvesting happiness doesn’t mean forcing positivity or pretending everything is perfect. It means noticing the good that’s already present, creating moments of connection, and choosing practices that help you feel grounded and fulfilled.

Here are a few gentle ways to harvest happiness in your everyday life:

🌻 Collect small joys — saving a kind message, a photo that makes you smile, or a note about something that went well today.
🌼 Celebrate tiny wins — completing a task you’ve been putting off, staying patient in a stressful moment, or honoring a boundary.
🍎 Create pockets of comfort — enjoying your favorite warm drink, listening to music that lifts your mood, or tidying a space that helps you breathe easier.
🌾 Nourish relationships — sending a check-in text, sharing a laugh, or letting someone know you appreciate them.
🍁 Pause with gratitude — naming something in front of you right now that feels good, meaningful, or supportive.

Happiness isn’t something we wait to arrive — it’s something we grow with intention and care.

It’s so easy to get pulled into “what if” thinking — imagining worst-case scenarios, stressing about things that might never happen, or feeling like you need to have the future all figured out. But most of those worries either never come true or aren’t nearly as overwhelming as our minds make them.

Here is a gentle reminder that your power is in the present moment. When you stay grounded in what’s actually happening right now, you’re not only taking care of yourself today — you’re also supporting your future without even realizing it.

You don’t have to predict the future.
You don’t have to have every step planned.
You just have to come back to the moment you’re in.

Take a breath.
Focus on what’s real.
The future will wait. 💜

🧡🤎🤍💛

This week, give yourself permission to focus on the things within your power.

The small choices you make each day — like who you allow into your space, how you speak to yourself, what you give your time to, and how you respond when you’re triggered — all add up to meaningful shifts in your well-being.

You’re allowed to rest.
You’re allowed to set boundaries.
You’re allowed to nourish your mind and body.
You’re allowed to choose kindness toward yourself, even on the hard days.

Growth doesn’t have to be big or loud. Sometimes it’s found in the gentle moments where you pause, check in with yourself, and choose what supports you best.

November is Homelessness Awareness Month — a reminder that homelessness isn’t just a big-city issue. Here in Montcalm County, individuals and even youth experience housing instability every day. Many are living in unsafe situations, couch-surfing, or struggling quietly where others may not see it.

Homelessness can deeply affect mental health. Constant stress, uncertainty, isolation, and unmet basic needs can increase anxiety, depression, trauma responses, and feelings of hopelessness. No one should have to face these challenges alone.

Homelessness is not a personal failure — it’s a community issue, and awareness is the first step toward change. Let’s work together to reduce stigma, support our neighbors, and ensure everyone has access to safety, stability, and care.

If mental health support is needed, Belle Tower Group is here. Compassionate, confidential therapy services are available for all ages. Visit our website or contact us to learn more.

💜 Self Care Sunday! 💜

This week’s self-care practice is:
🫶🏼 Creating Connections 🫶🏼

Self care isn’t just about what you do alone, it’s also about the connections you build with others.

Creating connection might look like:

👏🏼 Reaching out to a friend you haven’t talked to in a while
👏🏼Joining a group or community that shares your interests
👏🏼Spending quality time with family — even a short visit or call
👏🏼Letting yourself be open and honest about how you’re really feeling

Human connection reminds us we’re not alone. It strengthens our sense of belonging, reduces stress, and supports emotional healing.

Sometimes what we label as anger might actually be feeling left out, unheard, or frustrated. What we call sadness could come from feeling ignored or disappointed.

Emotions are layered — and understanding what’s underneath the surface can help us heal, communicate, and care for ourselves better.

🧠 How Are You Feeling on the Mental Health Pain Scale? 🧠

Just like physical pain, mental and emotional pain exists on a scale. Some days you may be at a 2 or 3 — feeling a little off or tired — and other days you may find yourself at a 6 or 7 — avoiding things you usually enjoy or feeling emotionally drained.

If you find yourself at a 5 or higher more often than not, or if your emotions are starting to affect your sleep, relationships, work, or ability to care for yourself, it may be time to reach out for support.

At Belle Tower Group, our clinicians are here to help you find relief, balance, and hope. We have immediate openings for in-person and telehealth therapy, for all ages, and accept most insurances.

You don’t have to navigate it alone — reaching out is a sign of strength.

Visit www.belletowergroup.com or call (616) 835-9292 to get started today.
