Struggling doesn’t always look the way we expect it to.

Sometimes it’s the person who keeps everyone calm, makes you laugh, shows up for others, and seems like they have it all together. Mental health challenges don’t have a single face, and they don’t always come with a diagnosis.

Be gentle. Check in. And if you’re the one holding it all together, you don’t have to do it alone.

Who is someone you can reach out to today—or who might need you to reach out to them?

April is National Donate Life Month—a time to raise awareness about the life-saving impact of organ, eye, and tissue donation.

Every day, thousands of people are waiting for a second chance at life. One donor can save up to 8 lives and heal many more through tissue donation. It’s a powerful reminder that even a single decision can create a lasting legacy.

Want to get involved? Here are a few simple ways:
✔️ Register as an organ donor (it only takes a minute online!)
✔️ Share your decision with family and friends
✔️ Use your voice on social media to spread awareness
✔️ Participate in local events or awareness campaigns
✔️ Wear blue and green to show your support

Together, we can inspire hope, save lives, and make a difference.

💜 Self Care Sunday 💜

This Week’s Self Care Practice Is:
☮️ Protect Your Peace ☮️

Your nervous system needs recovery just like your body does. Protecting your peace means being intentional about what you allow into your mind, your time, and your space. It helps lower stress, prevents burnout, and gives you more energy for the things and people that actually matter.

A few ways to do it:
☝🏼 Mute conversations, accounts, or group chats that leave you drained
☝🏼 Say no to plans when you truly need rest
☝🏼 Turn your phone on Do Not Disturb for an hour
☝🏼 Create a calmer space at home by tidying one small area
☝🏼 Step away from arguments that do not need your energy
☝🏼 Choose music, podcasts, or silence that helps you feel grounded

Protecting your peace is not selfish. It is maintenance. And sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is stop giving your energy to what keeps stealing it.

It might look silly, but there is something very real behind this.

Movement is one of the most accessible and effective ways to support your mental health. It does not have to be intense or structured. A simple walk, even when you do not feel like it, can help regulate your mood, reduce stress, and create just enough space between you and whatever feels heavy.

Sometimes we minimize it. We call it “just a walk” or joke about it like this. But your nervous system does not see it that way. That small decision to move your body is a form of care. It is you showing up for yourself in a way that matters.

You do not need motivation. You need a starting point. Even a “stupid little walk” counts.

What is one small way you can move your body today, even if you are not feeling up to it?

Some days feel like a blur of tasks, responsibilities, and screens. This is your reminder that your life is not just something to get through. It is something to experience.

Romanticizing your daily routine is not about perfection. It is about intention. Small shifts like playing music that matches your mood, slowing down for your morning coffee, or creating a calm space at home can turn ordinary moments into something meaningful. Even ten minutes with no plan or eating a meal without distractions can help you reconnect with yourself.

These simple practices are actually forms of self care. They ground you, regulate your nervous system, and bring a sense of control and comfort into your day.

You do not need a big life change to feel better. Sometimes you just need to notice the life you already have.

What is one small way you could romanticize your routine this week?

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month.

It is a time to recognize that protecting children is a shared community responsibility.

The reality is hard to ignore:

☝🏼 In the U.S., over 600,000 children are confirmed victims of abuse or neglect each year. That is nearly one child every minute.
☝🏼 In Michigan alone, tens of thousands of children are impacted annually, with more than 23,000 confirmed cases reported in a single year.
☝🏼 Most abuse happens at the hands of someone the child knows and trusts.

Prevention starts with awareness, connection, and action. When families are supported and communities stay engaged, risk is reduced and safer environments are created for children to grow and thrive.

☎️ If you suspect child abuse or neglect in Michigan, you can make a report 24/7 through Centralized Intake at 855-444-3911.
Reports can be made anonymously, and one call can change the trajectory of a child’s life.

We are proud to support IM SAFE Child Advocacy Center in supporting children and families in our community. Their work ensures that children have a safe place to be heard, supported, and protected.

This month, and every month:
💙 Check in on families.
💙 Support parents and caregivers.
💙 Speak up when something does not feel right.

Because protecting children is not just a system responsibility. It is a community one.
