SCFCA Annual Conference attendees were treated to a tour of the Clemson University School of Nursing state-of-the art simulation lab, and we thank Kimberly Hill, DNP for arranging this visit. Many Clemson nursing graduates train and volunteer at our member clinics, and we value this important partnership greatly!

Christmas elf staff have been busy distributing over 100 essential care bags to patients and families this week! Nearly 1,000 personal care items and toys for the Ronald McDonald House were donated by GFMC staff and volunteers for the Care Tree. A special shout out to Clemson nursing students for the incredible donations they brought in!

GFMC’s Community Health Worker (CHW) team participated in the statewide CHW Convening today in Columbia. It was a valuable day spent networking with colleagues, sharing Best Practices, identifying shared barriers and challenges, and learning about new resources for patients. Amazing data and results from this year’s CHAI grant program (Community Health Alignment Initiative) shows that CHW services eliminate many of the social barriers that prevent optimum health in underserved communities!
