The Hemophilia Alliance hosts an annual Medical Provider and Business Administrators (MPBA) Meeting, bringing together clinical and business leaders from Hemophilia Treatment Centers nationwide to collaborate, share ideas, and plan for the future of sustainable, high-quality patient care.👏💜

We’re proud that Chelsea Rivenbark, FNP, and Scott Miller Jr., M.Ed., attended this year’s meeting, gaining valuable insights from peers across the country and bringing back ideas to strengthen our program and improve patient outcomes. We’re also especially proud that Scott was invited to share his work helping teams across ECU Health better understand the grant that supports our program, promoting clarity, collaboration, and continued growth.🤩

Dr. Leonard and Dr. Fuh recently returned from the 2025 American Society of Hematology 67th Annual Meeting, where they represented our team alongside experts from around the world. This year’s conference focused on emerging research, innovative treatment approaches, and advancing equitable care through the theme Fight for Hematology.

Sessions highlighted exciting progress in immune-based cancer therapies, advances in gene therapy, and promising new directions for treating sickle cell disease and hemophilia. The ASH Foundation also hosted a race during the weekend, raising critical funds to support hematologic research.

They returned energized and inspired, ready to bring new ideas and insights back to support our patients and families. Feel free to ask them about the research they’re most excited to put into practice, they are always happy to share. 💜

The Beau's Buddies Cancer Fund Turkey Trot 5K was a huge success! With more than 1,400 trotters participating, Beau’s Buddies can continue supporting families impacted by cancer in a meaningful way.

Even with a chilly start, our team, Dr. Leonard, Charmaine Bond, Tamika Mackey, and Rachel Craft, had a great time showing up for an incredible cause and an even better community. Warm drinks and warmer hearts made it a memorable morning in support of families across eastern North Carolina. 💛🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Congratulations to the Pirates Vs. Cancer team and thank you for your continued support of our patients and families.

Founded nine years ago by Brody School of Medicine students, Pirates vs. Cancer began with a shared goal of improving the lives of children battling cancer at James and Connie Maynard Children’s Hospital here in Greenville, North Carolina. Since then, their team has continued to raise funds through community events like the annual Scare Away Cancer 5K and spring community celebrations.

With the support of generous donors, Pirates vs. Cancer has helped fund a playroom for hospitalized children and continues to make a meaningful impact for the children and families we serve. We are grateful for their partnership and commitment to supporting our kiddos throughout their cancer journey. 💜

Thanks to the efforts of our wonderful partners, we are able to make a difference for patients and families right here at Maynard Children’s Hospital.

Sending our sincere thanks to Pirates Vs. Cancer for their amazing generosity and longtime dedication to raising funds for pediatric cancer. This year's fundraiser brings their grand total to more than $176,000 raised over the past 9 years, which has made a tremendous impact and provided much-needed hope for pediatric cancer patients and families. We are so thankful to everyone who made this possible!

This award means a lot to us because it highlights exactly what we strive for every day, coming together as a team to provide exceptional, compassionate care for the children and families who trust us during some of their hardest moments. From our nurses, providers, support staff, and everyone behind the scenes, this plaque represents the countless hours, teamwork, and heart that go into making sure our patients always come first. We’re honored by the recognition and grateful to work with such a dedicated group of people who genuinely care about the community we serve.
