Dr. Bouzoukis has a doctorate from New York University with an emphasis in Child Dramatherapy and a Master of Fine Arts in Child Drama from The University of North Carolina – Greensboro. She has been a Nationally Registered Drama Therapist since 1987. Dr. Bouzoukis is a member of The Association for Play Therapy, The American Psychological Association, The National Association of Drama Therapy, The Society for Arts in Healthcare, The Alliance for Theatre in Education and The International Association of Theatre for Children and Young People. Dr. Carol Bouzoukis is also the Founder and Executive Director of Child Drama Workshops, a professional theater arts enrichment program for children grades pre-K through 5th grade. Established in 1994, Child Drama Workshops encourages artistic and educational achievement for young people through participatory drama and theatre experiences. Dr. Bouzoukis specializes in creating a non threatening and safe atmosphere that allows children to express themselves through their natural ability to pretend.
