Today is National Hire a Veteran Day!

Every July 25th is a great reminder for all employers to consider the unique skills and experiences that veterans bring to the workforce.

At ECVC, we’re proud to support those who’ve served. We've earned the HIRE Vets Medallion Award from the U.S. Department of Labor six years in a row, recognizing our commitment to hiring and retaining veterans.

“Hiring veterans at ECVC is no longer an initiative; it is part of our culture and DNA. We intentionally seek out veterans to employ at ECVC," said Darone Dancy, vice president of Workforce Operations.

Veterans bring leadership, discipline, and resilience to the workforce. We’re honored to have them as part of the ECVC family.

Let’s continue to open doors for our nation's veterans - not just today, but every day.

🎉Our 2025 Banquet Speaker is… the one and only Lou Ferrigno! 🎉

While many know him as the original Incredible Hulk, Lou Ferrigno is also a retired professional bodybuilder, motivational speaker, and fitness trainer.

He rose to fame after winning Mr. Universe at just 21, a Guinness World Record that still stands, and went on to star in the hit TV series The Incredible Hulk. Beyond the spotlight, Lou served in law enforcement and co-founded Ferrigno FIT, a health and wellness brand. Lou achieved all of this while overcoming significant hearing loss.

We can’t wait to welcome Lou to the stage this October as we celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month. 💛💙

Mark your calendars and join us:
📆 Date: Thursday, October 2
⏲ Time: 6:30PM
🌐Location: Rock Springs Center

Every October, we hold our anniversary banquet to kick off our celebration of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). The event features the Employee Success Story of the Year and a keynote speaker. Our keynote speakers have been actors, athletes, veterans, comedians, and singers in the past.

This year marks our 60th anniversary - and we’re welcoming someone legendary. ✨

Can you guess who this year's keynote speaker is?

Here are 3 clues:

1️⃣ He lost 75% of his hearing as a child after a series of ear infections.
2️⃣ He won Mr. Universe - twice - and still holds a Guinness World Record.
3️⃣ He once turned green and smashed things for a living on prime-time TV.

Drop your guesses in the comments 👇 and check back tomorrow for the answer!
