Three things that come to my mind in the summer heat:
1. The summer heat and humidity in the South feels like walking into warm lotion. The air is just heavy and thick. And, everyone has their own phrase to describe the heat. 😂
2. It also reminds me of August two-a-day football practice in the 80's. The heat and the exhaustion. 🔥
3. I also remember supporting a big project in Garyville, LA with several thousand workers onsite. I forget the real number but they went through 15,000 gallons of drinking water a day. It was a lot!
There are tons of people this week working in the heat creating similar memories and impressions. That is why it is crucial that we talk about heat safety constantly!
Use all the resources that you have to educate people and raise their awareness.
