Brigid’s Cross ~available now at Spellbound, hand-made~ is one of the most recognized symbols of Imbolc, the sacred festival celebrating the return of light and the promise of spring.
🌾 A Brief History
Traditionally woven from reeds or straw, Brigid’s Cross was created at Imbolc and hung above doorways, hearths, or windows to protect the home for the coming year. The symbol honors Brigid, Celtic goddess of fire, healing, poetry, fertility, and renewal.
