Dr. Mark Vitale is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and fellowship-trained specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of hand, wrist, and elbow conditions and injuries. Many of his patients are athletes who have suffered a sports injury. Dr. Vitale’s philosophy is to get his patients back to enjoying their lives safely, but as quickly as possible. Dr. Vitale’s expertise in the hand, wrist, and elbow includes: treatment of arthritis, fractures and dislocations, rehabilitation of sports injuries, arthroscopic treatment of wrist and elbow disorders, nerve compression syndromes, microsurgical reconstruction of upper extremity nerve injuries, operative and nonoperative treatment of Dupuytren's disease, treatment of masses such as ganglion cysts and tumors, and tendon repair and reconstruction in the hand and upper extremity. Dr. Vitale enjoys publishing and lecturing on hand, wrist, and elbow conditions and surgical techniques. Having published numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, Dr. Vitale has been recognized nationally as an accomplished author in hand and and upper extremity research.
