If your eyes are burning, gritty, or constantly tired… your eyelids might be the problem.

Most people focus on eye drops.
But as an eye doctor, I focus on eyelid hygiene first.

Here are some of the products I actually recommend
(yes — not all are created equal)

Which one have you tried?
And more importantly… did it actually work for you?

Do you like pineapple? And do you have eye floaters?

Dry eye isn’t always about tears.

In many patients the real cause is meibomian gland dysfunction, a condition where the oil glands in the eyelids stop working properly.

Without this protective oil layer, tears evaporate too quickly, causing burning, irritation, and chronic dry eye symptoms.

Early treatment is critical to protect the glands before permanent damage occurs.

Be honest did you know cold sores could infect the eye?
Comment YES or NO.

Most people don’t realize this…

Botox around the eyes can sometimes make dry eye symptoms worse.
It can weaken the orbicularis muscle, reduce blink strength, and lead to faster tear evaporation and irritation.

This doesn’t mean Botox is unsafe but people with dry eye disease or meibomian gland dysfunction should be evaluated before injections around the eyes.

Have you ever noticed more dryness after Botox?

Life update + seasonal allergy check

This time of year my clinic fills up with patients with itchy, red, watery eyes usually seasonal allergies.

If your eyes feel irritated, gritty, or constantly watery… allergies may be the reason.

I’m curious
Are your eyes reacting to allergy season yet?

And have you found anything that actually works?

Eye drops?
Cold compress?
Allergy meds?
Something natural?

Comment below your tip might help someone else this season
