🌟 We are so proud to share the finished quilt now hanging at Fairfield University’s Dolan School of Business Event Hall located at 200 Barlow Road, Fairfield, CT from September 12 to December 13.

This vibrant piece was brought to life through the creativity of our Abilis LEAP program sites in South Norwalk, East Norwalk, and Westport. Abilis community members designed original drawings that were carefully stitched into the quilt, transforming their artwork into something lasting and beautiful.

Our community members had an absolute blast being part of this project. The joy of seeing their colorful creations come together on a quilt was incredible. ❤️ The finished piece radiates energy, love, and creativity, truly reflecting their spirit.

👏 Thank you to our Life Coaches for encouraging every step, to our wonderful community partners for making this collaboration possible, and to Fairfield University for celebrating inclusion and creativity in such a meaningful way.

📸 Check out these photos of the quilt and our Abilis community members’ amazing work! . .

Welcome to the Project SEARCH Class of 2026 at Greenwich Hospital!

We’re excited to kick off another year of Project SEARCH, in partnership with Greenwich Hospital. Our nine-month internship program helps young adults with disabilities gain real-world experience and build the skills needed for competitive employment. Through hands-on training and mentorship, interns rotate through hospital departments while developing independence, confidence, and career readiness.

Best of luck to our interns Kieran McGuire, Jordan Savage, Tim Martin and Dylan O'Donnell. We can’t wait to see all that this amazing class will accomplish! 💙 . .

Congratulations to the graduates of the FIRST Pathway to Employment program sponsored by the YMCA of Greenwich!

This NEW vocational training program, developed in partnership with Abilis, was delivered through various departments of the YMCA including Childcare, Summer Camp, Facilities, and Afterschool Care and provided job readiness training in a supportive environment. Modeled with elements similar to our Project SEARCH internship program, the goal is to enhance job readiness and vocational skills while fostering independence and confidence.

Our interns Kristen Schumacher, Dylan O’Donnell, Kieran McGuire, and Layla Monet Jones each contributed their talents in these YMCA departments, and we are so proud of all of them.

We are deeply appreciative of the YMCA for their partnership and support in making this program possible. 💙Greenwich YMCA Town of Greenwich . .
