Dr. Sangeeta Sethi is a graduate of NYU College of Dentistry class of 1991. She furthered her dental expertise with a Pediatric Degree in 1993 and studied Orthodontics in 1995. Dr. Sethi has supplemented her traditional orthodontic education with Invisalign training , as well as, the necessary training to identify and treat Sleep and Breathing Disorders in the pediatric population. She has 25 year
s of experience working with small children and young adults. She is a wife and mother of three children and is compassionate to the needs of young people in their dental health. She takes great pleasure in working with children and makes it her mission to transform the apprehensive child into a patient that is comfortable with the dentist. She has the unique advantage of identifying potential orthodontic problems in a young child and many times can lessen its severity as the child grows. In fact, in some cases, she can correct such problems at an early age. Dr. Sethi takes pride in taking a holistic approach to treating children by focusing on the child’s systemic health rather than just their oral health. The mouth is the gateway to the body and a healthy body starts with a healthy mouth. Pediatric dentist are specialists trained to work with young children. They are able to cater to the needs of young patients with patience and guidance while stressing prevention with a strong emphasis on education. As children are not miniature adults, primary (baby) teeth are not miniature permanent (adult) teeth and should not be treated as such. Knowledge and expertise are vital to proper results in treatment. As the world is changing and evolving so is dentistry, even faster than many people realize. Keeping up to date with the latest treatment and studies is vastly important in order to offer a comprehensive option to dental treatment. Dr. Sethi has been a Greenwich resident for 16 years and has been practicing here for 12 years. She also has multiple practices in New York where her career in Dentistry began. She is affiliated with the American Dental Association, Greenwich Dental Society, Indian Dental Association, as well as, Greenwich Hospital where she was a member of their dental department and now holds privileges. Furthermore, she is a member of multiple study groups, such as, the : Greenwich Study Club (since 2012) and Seattle Study Group allowing her to keep in touch with the latest technology and practices available in her field.
