Hospitals: Here for Our Patients - Read more about the return of the forensic nursing care program at AdventHealth Littleton. From the story: “It's a different kind of nursing,” Lorna Leader, an assistant nurse manager for the forensic nursing program at Advent Health, said. Here for Our Communities: Grand River Health is training its bilingual staff as certified medical interpreters – cutting costs, growing its Spanish-speaking patient base by 50%, and ensuring patients can be heard in their own language.

Without qualified interpreters at doctors' offices, non-English speakers can face bad — even fatal — health outcomes. A hospital in rural Colorado is training its existing bilingual staff to address the service gap.
