Needing a last minute holiday gift idea for your child? 🎁 The slide is a great tool to engage a child in many language opportunities while also moving their body!

We can use verbal routines such as “ready set go”, and “1,2,3, go”, we can also model “up” “down” “fast” “slow” and even use cars or balls to go down the slide to incorporate turn taking.

Engaging a child in physical play can encourage more language opportunities if they have sensory processing difficulties as it can regulate their bodies getting them ready to communicate.
