I don’t accept the excuse that you have to deal with unwanted weight gain in perimenopause.

Might it happen?
Sure.
Probably.

But it’s usually a symptom of underlying metabolic dysfunction that could impact your long-term health.

Ignoring it altogether could result in bigger health concerns down the road.

Should a number on the scale determine your happiness and self-worth?
Absolutely not!

Should you accept a doctor telling you it’s just your age and just buy new pants?
Absolutely not!

I listen to my clients’ symptoms and then clinically assess what could be going on. You deserve the same time and care!

My DMs are always open if you need me. 🤗

Ever get the “munchies” in the late afternoon?

Ever criticize yourself because you have no “willpower”?

Your munchies are more likely due to physiology than willpower (which is a term I don’t like, btw).

Next time you experience this, ask yourself:

✔️ When did I eat last? If it’s been more than 3 hours your body is probably tell you your cells need energy.

✔️ Did you eat enough protein early in the day? If your breakfast and lunch didn’t have 20-30 g of protein EACH you have missed getting in enough blood sugar balancing protein to keep hunger at bay.

✔️ Did you skip one or more of your meals? Not nourishing your body enough early in the morning day will cause cravings and intense hunger later in the day.

If you aren’t eating optimally, your munchies aren’t a lack of willpower, they are a sign your body is needing nourishment more consistently during the day.

Let me know with a 🙋🏼‍♀️ in the comments if the munchies happen to you.

Yesterday was Registered Dietitian Day and I was so busy doing the job I love, I missed posting. 😅

I absolutely love using nutrition and lifestyle to manage the effects of hormone imbalances and helping other women develop their own plans for health. I believe the foods we eat and the way we live our lives have a huge impact on our symptoms, regardless of age.

Not all RDs are the same and not every RD is knowledgeable about hormones or unique strategies to manage health through the female life cycle. But I have spent the last 12 years (3/4 of my career) digging into to strategies, helping women apply those strategies, and using those strategies myself to minimize perimenopause symptoms as a 43 year old mom of 5.

I have also dedicated those same 12 years to helping women with PCOS. I don’t have PCOS but my approach to managing symptoms has helped 100s of my clients over the years. Many report that I am the first practitioner they worked with who understood the condition and really listened to them. My training as a RD helped me develop my skills to listen, assess, educate, and develop plans of care.

Cheers to my fellow RDs and to those dedicated to helping women love vibrant lives. 🥂

Go, eat rich foods and drink sweet drinks, and allot portions to those who had nothing prepared; for today is holy to our LORD. Do not be saddened this day, for rejoicing in the LORD is your strength!

🔥Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire. ~St. Catherine of Siena

Behind this screen, I’m a registered dietitian actively working with ~30 clients for a wide range of hormone imbalances and unique health goals. I’m also a mom of 5, trying to be a steady presence in my kids’ lives. I’m a wife of 20+ years and co-manage a busy household with my husband. We don’t have a housekeeper, nanny, driver, or chef so we have a lot of wheels turning at all times (no pun intended). 😌

Who I am and who I am meant to be are in God’s hands and I try to constantly ask, listen, and act on where He is leading me.

Leaning in to big things He has told me are in store for 2026. Hang on for the ride!!

You don’t need a reset. 🫶🏻

You need a steady next step. 🫶🏻

If you need a partner, sounding board, or cheerleader, reach out!! I’d love nothing more than to support you!!

Just know, without a firm foundation there will be no magic pill, powder, or product that will get you to your goals. I’m happy to share my experiences trying so many! 🤪

💫 RESTORED 💫

It’s a new week! I spent Saturday co-hosting a Catholic women’s conference in my city with a team of amazing women. We brought the theme RESTORED to nearly 400 women and boy did it stir up a lot of thoughts!

I do what I do because I truly love helping women transform their health, wellbeing, and lives through natural hormonal support. My “job” is a passion and rarely feels like work. But make no mistake, I am always working for YOU! I’m blessed that I get to help support my family of 7 with this passion of mine.

As you embark on your week, I want to offer a simple tip that may help you on your journey to health restoration. The MOST important thing you can do is make the meals and snacks you eat work for you (because we all need to eat). If you do nothing else but plan, prepare and eat foods that support your hormones, you will start to feel better without any other changes. I can help you with that with my Recipe Guide Bundle (comment BUNDLE for more info).

The bundle contains >160 recipes curated by a PCOS expert dietitian (🙋🏼‍♀️) FOR
women with PCOS. Make meal and snack planning a breeze while supporting your hormones and metabolism for optimal health.

It’s on s a l e for $25 for the first 25 ladies! Comment BUNDLE; discount auto-applied at checkout!

🍂 It’s the most wonderful time of the year 🍂

I have loved fall for as long as I can remember and my sentiments have only grown as an adult.

Don’t be afraid of change…instead walk through the falling leaves of life hand in hand with Jesus.

Appreciate the beautiful “fall” around you and He will lead you toward your “spring”.

I am thankful for the present beauty and look forward to the days ahead with hope and joy. 🥰

Consistency over short-term quick fixes is where true healing begins.

This is how I practice and teach but I also heard it from a well known functional medicine doctor on a podcast yesterday and it’s just the message I needed to share with you today.

If you feel like you’ve tried aaaallllllll the things to manage your PCOS symptoms but you don’t feel better for very long or maybe not at all, you need to take another look at what those things were.

-were they restrictive, short term fixes that weren’t sustainable?
-were you educated at all on why these were being recommended or were you just expected to “trust the process”?
-were your questions and concerns addressed or were you just trying to “get through it”?
-did you have any type of support?

My approach isn’t a quick fix. It’s education and strategy that takes time to tweak and implement but I feel confident after working with clients that their new PCOS lifestyle is long-term, consistent, and sustainable.

I’ve gathered all of the non-negotiables into a 2 part masterclass that I think you will appreciate! Comment WAITLIST to get more information.

Tell me in the comments 👇🏻 the most unsustainable thing you’ve tried to heal PCOS symptoms.

💫PCOS Wellness 3 Ways💫

Don’t we all wish managing PCOS could be a quick fix? The truth is, it takes time.

Some of the most impactful things you can do to manage PCOS naturally take some dedicated time and effort to put into practice.

The awesome news is, if you can make progress, these will have positive effects not only on PCOS symptoms, but also overall health!

Teaching you to implement a strong foundation is my mission…no quick fixes here. But my clients report they appreciate and prefer slow and steady. Progress over perfection. Lifelong lifestyle.

Which of the options (sleep, nutrition, or physical activity) do you have more questions about? I’ll expand in future posts!

If nutrition tops your list of things to tackle, comment FOODS to get my guide to foods to eat for PCOS.
