Trauma bonding is a coping mechanism that can develop in response to abuse, characterized by a complex emotional attachment to the abuser. However, by recognizing this pattern, individuals can begin to break free from the cycle of abuse and cultivate a deeper understanding of their own resilience. As the individual develops greater self-awareness, they can start to dismantle the false sense of security created by the abuser's cyclical behavior. By acknowledging the trauma bonding process, individuals can take the first steps towards healing, empowerment, and reclaiming their autonomy.
