Bear with me! This is long, but worth the read if you have any of the following symptoms on an "irregular" basis!

Histamine Intolerance is not a sensitivity to histamine, but an indication that youโ€™ve developed too much of it.

Some common reactions associated with this intolerance include:

*headaches or migraines
*nasal congestion or sinus issues
*fatigue
*hives
*digestive issues
*irregular menstrual cycle
*nausea
*vomiting

More severe cases of histamine intolerance may include:

*abdominal cramping
*tissue swelling
*high blood pressure
*irregular heart rate
*anxiety
*difficulty regulating body temperature
*dizziness

Many of the symptoms can be related to foods that either have high histamine levels, foods that trigger a histamine response OR foods that block the enzyme that controls histamine levels.

Histamine-rich foods are:

*alcohol and other fermented beverages
*fermented foods and dairy products, such as yogurt and sauerkraut
*dried fruits
*avocados
*eggplant
*spinach
*processed or smoked meats
*shellfish
*aged cheese

Foods that trigger histamine release in the body are things such as:

*alcohol
*bananas
*tomatoes
*wheat germ
*beans
*papaya
*chocolate
*citrus fruits
*nuts, specifically walnuts, cashews and peanuts
*food dyes and other additives

Foods that block the DAO exzyme are:

*alcohol
*black tea
*mate tea
*green tea
*energy drinks

If experiencing any of the above symptoms, you might want to consider eliminating the amounts of the above foods and adding some of the foods below (these are low histamine foods):

*fresh meat and freshly caught fish
*non-citrus fruits
*eggs
*gluten-free grains, such as quinoa and rice
*dairy substitutes, such as coconut milk and almond milk
*fresh vegetables except tomatoes, avocados, spinach, and eggplant
*cooking oils, such as olive oil

A food log could help you narrow down a food sensitivity OR you can take a food sensitivity test to pinpoint a trigger! I did and it has made all the difference! โค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Ž

If you are striving to heal, lose weight, or gain more vitality - itโ€™s highly important to give some attention to your lymphatic system.

The lymphatic system can get congested and clogged. This in turn can lead to accumulation of toxins and backed up energy, which can result in a weakened immune system, weight gain, and many other issues.

Herbs such as burdock root, cleavers, echinacea, red root, astragalus, and red clover are great for helping move stagnant and congested lymph energy.

The real reason for diet failure comes down to one primary cause - stress - psychological and physiological.

Psychologically speaking, stressed out people: *struggle with consistency
*self-sabotage more
*binge more
*eat more
*make poorer food choices for that matter

Physiological speaking, stressed out people:
*jump on the fad diet bandwagon
*weight yo-yos up and down

Do you want to live a longer, healthier life? Then, physical fitness should be one of your top priorities. National Fitness Day in the United States was created as a way to encourage us to get off the couch, turn off the television, and work out. According to the creator, the goal of this day is to "celebrate strength and empowerment through fitness". Today you are encouraged to "get your sweat on".
