Life lately. For YEARS I have prayed that my mom would quit smoking. Years! I was watching it kill her & eventually she was diagnosed with COPD. She went down fast after that. In & out of the hospital. March 4th she went in again. We thought it was another routine hospital stay. Get her better send her back home. Nope. Two days later we were called & told we needed to come because it didn’t look good. We got to the hospital & I couldn’t believe what I saw. Two different times during her stay I thought, “is my mom about to die?” There was a lot of praying over her. I spent my time trying to be there for my mom, trying to work, trying to be there for my family, on very little sleep & a lot of driving. My brother spent every night in the hospital. It was exhausting & took a toll on us. We had my mom flown out and she was intubated. She was diagnosed with pneumonia, respiratory failure, & hypoxia. She was very critical & only weighed 82lbs. We literally watched a miracle in my mom. It was 5 weeks of hospital staying & rehabilitation. My mom is not smoking and I’m watching her get stronger every day. She has such a positive attitude and is working hard. My little family has been a huge help & I also have a brother & sister-in-law that help so much. The Lord answered a prayer that I’ve pretty much prayed my whole life which was for her to quit smoking & I believe she can be completely healed. There is so much more to the story and I can seriously never stop thanking the Lord for what he’s doing. Goodness he is good! 🙌
