It’s finally feeling like summer in Indiana and schools are letting out: time to double down on hot car death prevention!

👀 LOOK in your backseat every single time you exit the vehicle, even if you’re sure the kids aren’t with you.
🔐 LOCK your car when you park it, even on your own property. 1 in 4 hot car deaths happen to kids who got into an unattended, unlocked vehicle and couldn’t get back out!
✅ Create LAYERS of reminders and prevention strategies, especially during routine or caregiver changes! Ensure that camps, daycares, etc are going to call you if your children are not dropped off by a certain time, and text or call whomever is driving your children to confirm dropoffs.

If you see a child alone in a car, DO NOT WAIT! Call 911 and get that child help!!!

I haven’t yet had the opportunity of meeting Amanda of Campbell Counseling, Inc, but I can tell you that she does much for the therapy community in networking and providing resources! If you have a child in this age range, I highly recommend you join this! $30 a session is a great investment for the experience and information you’ll receive 🙌💝
